The power of caffeine, Dane Cook, and great pants…
Today was a fantastic day, one of those days that leaves you in feel-good spirits. I wasn’t going to post tonight but I thought, I would like to write a post dedicated to the appreciate of the little things in life. First of all, today was fantastic because it marked my one month anniversary of quitting smoking!!
Thrilling, yes. The sense of empowerment I have gotten from doing the one thing I was always so afraid of is Fantastic!! Everyone on Quitnet was so supportive of me, or else I never would have made it this far. Also, I had two wonderful energy drinks today: Sugar-free Rockstar & a Java Monster. The Java Monster is like a Starbucks frappucino that they sell at the 7-11; has milk in it and tastes like mocha kind of…but has the same effects as a Monster. I’ve also been munching on candy from the awesome gift package my parents sent me from www.beyondbookmarks.com which was amazing! In celebration of my last week in Pittsburgh area, I ordered takeout for dinner from Pizza Joe’s, a local favorite, and got the “grilled chicken salad” which comes with french fries on it. This is a local favorite [although I remove the fries] for some reason; the chicken is really really good though. Also finished a 2 Liter of Mountain Dew this afternoon and banged out almost 1,100 words in my research paper which is due on Friday. I’ve been lounging today in my borrowed pair of Abercrombie capri-sweats, which are the most comfortable thing in the entire world right now. Watched Dane Cook Vicious Circle(Cycle?) with some friends tonight and just laughed…Relaxed with a fan blowing around and felt like I had just spent a day at the beach. For a day in finals week, today was pretty relaxing. The caffeine definitely helped with alot of the studying I did; have a Bio final tomorrow at 3.15 so that has been requiring lots of studying. I just noticed there’s alot of name-dropping in this post but it happens sometimes. I don’t do it on purpose
Mood is very content right now, think I might drift off to bed.
Can’t wait to get back to The Land of Pleasant Living.
